2006 ANNUAL POOL DAY OUT

First stop ten pin bowling, lucky we got there early as one of the pins was trying to make an escape! The Fred Flinstone of Bedrock.

All looking happy - most of us had never done this before, and we were to pay for it over the next couple of days. Mind there were a couple of ringers!! Cant mention their names but Dave and Wills know who they are.

Concentrating on watching the girls bend and bowl.

Did a number of pubs before ending up on Whitstable beach, the pub is nearby and we are all feeling extremely 'happy' at this time.

Bill is happier than most and decides to drop everything and try out the water. A tsunami warning was given in Southend when he dived in! A good sport, mind checking his speedo's I didnt realise it was that cold!!!!

LINGFIELD RACES 2006 - Big thanks to Martin & Di ALL LINGFIELD PHOTOS COURTESY OF SHELLY AND WILL'S

A coach trip to Lingfield Race Course, plus local evening entertainment arranged by Martin and Di,    A few of us watching the final stages of a race, Les still trying to pick a winner!!

Shell moving on to something a little more substantial.

DERBY DAY  -  A visit to the Epsom Downs on Derby Day is an annual outing for some of our members. A good cross section of ages, and a brilliant day out, the weather to date on all of our trips has been kind. One racing tip we have learnt though is, dont take a tip from KENNY BRIDGEWATER, in the three years we have been going he hasn't picked a single winner!!  Managed to get away a bit sharp this year, absolute nightmare last year, 5 hours in traffic, mucked up the whole night. This year however we were back in a lovely pub near Sittingbourne for about half seven, and only a short drive back home from there for us when we were full!!! - Such a perfect day - Cue for a song!

This years trip had been a talking point, mainly from Ken who thinks he is going to back a winner - We all bet he doesn't. The shame is Ken coudn't travel with us to Epsom this year (2005) he cant hack the pace - but I can confirm that once again he has failed to find a single winner.

SITTINGBOURNE GREYHOUND TRACK was our latest venture, 30 of us travelled up, we had booked the Directors box overlooking the start and finish line, full buffet laid on, plenty of money placed on apparently lame dogs, I dont think too many came home loaded, though many of us sampled the local brew and were happy enough at the end of the night. Light in the pocket & head!!

Some seem to have won a few bob 'LOADSAMONEY' Clinton with loadsa beer John 'Bushy'

Almost the end of the evening and we are in pretty high spirits. Bushy still with the same pint!

Some of us though just couldnt make it!!! You wouldnt believe the sound system in this place & they still dropped off.

Chislet 'B' Pool team and supporters out on their annual beano celebrating the teams success or failure - it wouldn't have mattered. (l to r again) Bob - Gary in the blue hat - Shell - Clinton - Bas - Peter - Dave - Jackie - Janet - Eric & Monkey.

BBQ  -  We have our own large gas BBQ setup, which we drag out at the slightest inkling of sunshine.
